New Eminem Track, Jay-Z’s Biggest Hits Coming to “DJ Hero Renegade Edition” Albums

Rolling Stone Reports DJ Hero has announced its massive 93-song in-game track list — which boasts Beastie Boys blended with Foo Fighters and 50 Cent vs. David Bowie — and now Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal the track lists for Eminem and Jay-Z’s Renegade compilations that will accompany the DJ Hero Renegade Edition of the game (the Renegade comps aren’t playable tracks, but best-of CDs). Jay-Z’s Renegade collection is the first best-of comp of Jigga’s career — though there’s reportedly talk of another coming in November — so Jay-Z sticks to the hits. Eminem, however, opts for deeper cuts and rarities from his arsenal, including a brand new song called “Taking My Ball” that will feature exclusively on the DJ Hero Renegade disc. Both rappers hand-selected their respective track lists. “The tracks we put on this disc are mostly overlooked or rarer favorites of mine from all different parts of my career,” Eminem said. “I also put a brand new, unheard song on there so even the biggest fan has something new.” DJ Hero and DJ Hero Renegade Edition will both be released October 27th, but Slim Shady fans can hear “Taking My Ball” October 16th when the track debuts on Em’s Sirius radio station Shade45. In addition to the game itself and the dual hits compilations, DJ Hero Renegade will feature a premium Renegade turntable controller and a hardshell turntable carrying case that converts into a DJ stand. The Renegade cover art was created by artist Shepard Fairey, who also produced the famous Obama Hope poster as well as the recent Obama cover of Rolling Stone. THE REASON SLAUGHTER HOUSE IS IN THE FOREVER VIDEO!

If there’s anything that we’ve learned over the years, it’s that…there are no coincidences in hiphop. Many of you sharp-eyed readers were speculating about that not-so-subtle Slaughterhouse cameo in the new “Forever” video. The four lyrical butchers stand behind Eminem during his scene, which was shot in Detroit (as opposed to the rest of the video, which was shot in Miami).




It’s a befitting finale for such a heavyweight crew cut. Eminem’s verse is fire (my personal favorite of the four) and so is the visual: seeing Em, alongside Joell Ortiz (who was once signed to Em’s mentor, Dre), Crooked I (who was once signed to Dre’s de-mentor, Suge), Royce da 5′9″ (Em’s renewed friend), and Joe Budden (who is just…Joe Budden, lol).



So here are the “rumors” that I’m hearing…



That Slaughterhouse appearance in “Forever,” was indeed a non-verbal announcement of the contract negotiations going on behind the scenes. For the past month, both sides have been working towards bringing the group to the Shady label. And that the gathering of Em and the guys at the shoot, is the first of more collaborations to come.



For now, Eminem is working on Relapse II, in Detroit. Joe is working on The Great Escape. Royce is preparing his Oct. release, StreetHop. Crooked I is working on an EP called Mr. Pig Face Weapon Waist (lol!). And Slaughterhouse will be on the road with TechN9ne for all of Oct and Nov. But fans all want to see Em plus Slaughter on a track (especially Em and Royce). Imagine the killer verse volleys!



Hopefully we’ll see some progress on this Shady/Slaughterhouse “rumor” in the next few months. It’s good for hiphop.

DRAKE FT: LILWAYNE-KANYE-EMINEM - FOREVER

"Forever" is a 2009 song performed by Canadian hip hop musician Drake.[1] The song features rap artists Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. The track was produced by Boi-1da. It will be released as the second single off of the upcoming soundtrack for Lebron James' More Than a Game documentary.[1] The song originally leaked in 2008 with Lil Wayne and Kidd Kidd, but the single version is a remix with new verses by Drake and Lil Wayne and the addition of Kanye West and Eminem. This marks the first long awaited Lil Wayne and Eminem collaboration. The song has yet to be on Itunes because there's still a few more changes being added to the the song. As of right now Drake sings the hook but it will soon be changed according to reports that various artist have sent in samples for the new hook. Chris Brown, The-Dream, Lloyd, and Trey Songz have all sent in samples. It will be chose sometime in September. Rumors are starting to build up that the song will be performed at the 2009 VMA Awards in New York City on September 13,2009 CLICK PIC TO LISTEN
