On Thursday, Berrios appeared in front of a judge in New Britain and she raised his bond to $1.5 million saying, 'We can't tolerate this wild behavior.'
Berrios' public defender dried to have his bond lowered saying, 'He's adamantly denying any involvement in this crime.'
Based on Berrios' extensive criminal record, Judge Hillary Strackbein decided to make the change in Berrios' bond. His record contains previous charges such as larceny, burglary and unlawful restraint.
The 27-year-old New Britain man faces two counts of attempted murder as well as other charges in connection with a drive by shooting on Wednesday.
Police said shots were fired into a SUV in which seven people were traveling at about 2 p.m.
Four people were injured in the shooting. Three of those injured have been treated and released from area hospitals. The fourth person remains in serious but stable condition.
Berrios was arrested on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, assault, possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment. His bond was raised to $1.5 million during a Thursday court appearance.
